Duane Marburger's Bio
Duane Marburger has a passion for prayer and pastoral care and visitation. Duane has been serving in ordained ministry for over 40 years. He has served in several settings in various Lutheran denominations including rural and metropolitan areas. As well as parish ministries, Duane also has several years of experience in chaplaincy in long term and retirement care and more recently before coming to Lake Deaton UMC served as a Hospice chaplain.
Together with his wife Bonnie, they have volunteered with United Marriage Encounter as a Clergy Team Couple for over 35 years. They have also traveled on mission trips to Belize and Ukraine. They have been married for 45 years and are blessed to have three married sons and eight grandchildren.
In addition to serving as care and visitation pastor for Lake Deaton UMC, Duane also serves as the interim pastor for Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Dade City, Fl. Duane enjoys reading the Scripture aloud, singing, playing an accordion, and learning pickle ball and golf.
